You should specify "Game Installation Folder".
For W8 it is the folder which directly contains files "Wiz8.EXE" and "3DSetup.exe".
CF should tell you if you specified the wrong folder or it just works.

For better effect, do NOT install W8 (or any games if that matters) into proposed folders (such as "Program Files", etc.).
Instead create your own folder (such as "c:\games" or "c:\wizardries") and install games there.

Also do NOT place CF into a game folder!

When I start Coxmic Forge, it asks for a locations to look to . Thus, I need to set a directory and/or file for Wizardry 8. Which directory or file should I set the setting to?

NOTE: I did set it to the wiz 8 directory, which doesn't allow me to make monster changes to hp and damage.

Cosmic forge has a setting area which requires that it be set to a certain directory. Sadl, this isn't discussed anywhere. What directory and/or file do I set the setting to for Wiz 8?

There is no explanation of where to set the cosmic forge setting for Wiz 8. Does it get set to the Wiz 8 directory, the saves file, the data, the subfile data base etc? Thus, for Wiz 8. what directory or files should I set Cosmic forge to find?

Heh, you are lucky. I've got some description for ITM format. :)
If you send me an e-mail, I can send the description to you.

DonŽt worry, i already assumed that would be the case when i saw the huge work behind CF.

I only want to create a simple W8 import library to Unity to enhance my Meshes/Models/3D skills, just for educational purposes.

I usually only work with sprites or simple meshes so when i was thinking at what educational project to create, i instantly remember wizardry8 and i started looking for info.

You could give me at least some info for ITM files? at least the coords system for each vertex "line", so i can create the mesh and apply the material/texture.

Thanks!

Hmmm, why exactly do you need to do what you are doing?

Aside from that you guessed most of the stuff right.
ITM is item model.
MON is monster model.
OCT is OCTree data and more.
PVL is Terrain Meshes and more.
RLK some sort of linkage or mapping helping to render less, but I was not able to reverse-engineering it and just wipe it out (empty it) when Location is edited.
STS is probably for STATs: traps, chests and other props are here.
WPT - waypoint file, for monsters to navigate.

I don't like sharing stuff I worked hard on.
Already shared W7 stuff with one guy, and he refused to tell me anything and I haven't heard from him since. Kind of not good. :(
